MOSAIC is a missional church plant that meets in Partick, in the West End
of Glasgow. Mosaic holds its gatherings in a local community centre
and throughout the week various discipling groups meet up to journey
with God together. The community of Mosaic has as its core values -
communion, community and mission. At the heart of these values is
its desire to pursue the Missio Dei ~ The Mission of God!

of the church plant.

Our parent organisation in the USA, Christian Associates
International (CAI), is a member of the Evangelical
Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), a watchdog
organisation
that uses a rigorous grid of standards to assure proper handling
of funds by Christian ministries. [Note that Christian Associates
UK is not registered directly. We do however apply rigorous
accounting standards and controls to all our financial
transactions.]
Every year, the ECFA randomly
selects certain organisations for an intensive field review, where
they more carefully examine each organisation's records as well
as do an on-site review of financial systems. CAI has been selected for
such a review. The following is an excerpt from the letter
we received after it had been completed:
"Thanks for the opportunity to meet with you and your staff,
and learn more about the ministry and operations of Christian Associates
International, Inc. during the ECFA Field Review.
ECFA is committed to assisting its members in maintaining and enhancing
compliance with the ECFA Standards of Responsible Stewardship.
I found no violations of the ECFA Standards. You are commended on
your efforts to demonstrate accountability and excellence."

CAI's vision is to impact Europe by
planting High Impact churches, and developing High Impact leaders.
In 1999 CAI set a long-range goal: To identify and develop 500
high-impact leaders to establish one or more high-impact churches in
50 major cities in Europe by the year 2010. The kingpin of our
strategy is to become a grassroots movement of Church planting
movements. Currently CAI has projects in over 20 different locations
around Europe.
Where are we going next? We have a list of cities that we think are
strategic. On the list are cities such as Vienna, Frankfurt, Lyon,
Rome, Milan, Naples, Gothenburg and St. Petersburg.
We would like to see a churchplanting team in each city.
Different projects are in different phases; for some projects we are
still in the research phase, others are already in the
team-assembly phase.
Our strategy stands or falls with the people that join such a team.
God has blessed us with many people, with many different gifts and
personalities - but we need more people.
As Jesus said: the harvest is ready, but the workers are few. Would
you pray with us that more people would hear God's call and
join us?
And if you are wondering if that 'tug' you're feeling on your
heart is God - why not get in touch with us?

A church community for the unchurched ...
We want to establish an effective model for bringing
unchurched people within the sphere of the kingdom of God and
to interpret the gospel to the world.
While London has numerous churches, some healthy and vibrant,
there is a tremendous need for the development of missional
communities to reach the unchurched, 90-95% of the population.
We are working to grow a network of authentic faith
communities bridging the gap between church and culture.
Currently, this network includes:
* individual discipleship
* community groups
* a pub conversation group
* initiatives in missional leadership development
* cooperation with existing churches and ministries
Unless the Lord builds the house, its
builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the
city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.
(Psalm 127:1)
